Curating a new survey about Italian, experimental music is always a challenge. However, with Italy being my country, the risk is less objective than if I were dealing with the works of other nations. Nonetheless, I trust that this selection will be appreciated by people who are generally drawn to high-quality projects. If you have the patience to listen to the whole compilation, you’ll surely discover special aspects of Italian, experimental music, from industrial noise ambient to free improvisation, from contemporary avant garde to new techno mutations, and always under the common denominator of unexplained sounds. Long life to experimental underground music!
